I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, practicing privately since 2014. I work with couples and individual adults experiencing issues such as: relationship distress, divorce, infidelity, parenting, major life transitions, family difficulties, depression, and anxiety.
I believe in working collaboratively with my clients, helping you use your strengths to reach your desired goal. I strive to create an open, accepting and comfortable environment in which to push yourself to make changes.
My clients are treated as individuals experiencing every day, real life problems, not as a diagnosis to "fix". I do this by weaving together therapy approaches that best suit your needs such as: Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) to heal, deepen and enrich relationships through repairing broken attachments, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge and change painful thought patterns, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to create balance and harmony within the self, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to increase coping skills to manage emotional distress.
I have completed trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) including a four-day externship through the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
In 2012, I obtained my Masters of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire Marriage and Family Therapy Program. After graduation, I worked at Seacoast Mental Health Center in Portsmouth as an outreach therapist helping adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and their families.
